Tamara Sampson, M.A., LLP

I enjoy working with children of all ages, and I bring specialized training and extensive experience in supporting neurodivergent children, including those with autism, learning disabilities, cognitive challenges, ADHD, and co‑occurring concerns such as anxiety, behavioral difficulties, and mood disorders. My work with very young children has reinforced how essential the parent–child relationship is, and I view strengthening that connection as central to effective therapy.

My approach includes ongoing assessment of each child’s cognitive, social, emotional, developmental, and somatic needs. I view every child through a developmental and trauma‑informed lens, allowing me to understand their experiences more fully and create a thoughtful, individualized plan that supports their growth and potential. It is a privilege to help parents better understand their child and feel confident in supporting their mental health and well‑being.

I am a Limited Licensed Psychologist with 30 years of experience working with children. I hold an Infant Mental Health Specialist endorsement and an Interdisciplinary Certificate in Autism. Over the years, I have developed deep knowledge of resources within the Genesee County community and have provided training in schools and other public agencies.
